The Influence of Stove Materials on the Combustion Performance of a Hybrid Draft Biomass Cookstove

The cookstove requires various materials for different stove components, such as the combustion chamber, body, insulation, and other accessories, which have a significant impact on overall performance of stove. In present study, two hybrid draft biomass (HDBC) models with chamber (stainless steel ceramic refractory cement) were developed tested. Both stoves in combination three insulation (perlite, vermiculite, wool) tested using modified Water Boiling Test (WBT-4.2.3) Durability protocol to assess emissions, efficiency, durability performance. According ISO 19867-3:2018 voluntary targets, both stainless all insulations met targets Tier 5, 4, 3 & 2 5 CO emission, PM2.5 performance, respectively. Although there was no difference efficiency (MCE) between stoves, emits more than stainless-steel perlite performs better combinations.
